AN UPDATE ON THE MOTF SYMPOSIUM
I spoke with the Aloft rep again and she updated me on what the cost would be to move the symposium to the Westin. Basically, it would be an additional $850 dollars to hold it there which isn't in the budget.
While I know several of us have made reservations in Old Town, I have confirmed with the Gaylord that while they are closed today, they will be reopening tomorrow. I also confirmed that the Hampton Inn in the harbor is open for those of you staying there.
In addition, Aloft said they will offer a reduced rate for those who may have trouble finding something back in the harbor. (Sorry, I don't know what that rate is yet.
@JeffSchwenk is going to make the final determination tomorrow morning but it is 99% sure the symposium will be held at the Aloft.
