  • 1.  Am I missing something or is this mobile app terrible?

    Ok. So maybe there is something I’m missing but this new HL compatible mobile app seems less than adequate.

    I have two frustrations:

    1. It separates out content from message threads. What I mean by this is if you post a file attachment in a thread it becomes some type of entirely new thread.

    2. It doesn’t appear to present a “sort by newest message” view. I’m actually not sure how it sorts. Maybe by date that the message was originally posted?

    And by observation it seems like this is now mostly a drive by group ( break fix ) for consultants where members working on an upgrade or who’ve suddenly encountered an emergency at one of their customers appear and disappear ( as their pain is solved ).

    Nothing wrong with that however it would be nice to have a tool for mobile that made it easier to access this info quickly.

    I haven't really ventured into the new app as of yet, but one of the first things I noticed that's unfortunately similar to the old MemberCentric is that it doesn't give you the option to open the 'app' instead of the web when clicking a link in a 90 Minds e-mail.

    I have no idea how the app sorts but it's not by activity.
    When I open the app now I see: 

    1. This thread - maybe because it has a reply? But then see (4) below which also has a reply ( from mobile ) but doesn't appear higher on the list/sort
    2. A file attachment from Greg Stiles which is somehow separate from his thread regarding a BM error
    3. Jane's message thread on remote printing ( says last reply two days ago )
    4. A thread from Gary F which I replied to this morning ( so apparently replies don't cause a message to appear higher on the list in mobile )

    My guess is the mobile app only sorts by when the original message was created? And doesn't consider any replies. 
    On the web you can see messages sorted in order of latest activity ( which includes replies )

    That's just my guess. If you look on the mobile app at Gary's message about Intacct. It still shows ( and sorts ) as if it's 3 days old despite having replies today.

    The issue is that the mobile app sorting makes it difficult to follow any messages unless you are only looking to read brand new messages without regard to activity ( replies ).

    Maybe on mobile I'm missing some way to sort

    Fairly certain those of us who use it agree.   We are still working with tech support on some of the issues.  The other mobile app is very expensive and will likely be phased out.
