Am I missing something. If you unmark the security option for credit checking you cannot start an order without putting the order on Hold. So you can create a Sales Order on Hold. There is nothing preventing you from sending out a Sales Order to the customer or a Picking Sheet to the warehouse? Am I missing something?

Is the customer on credit hold? You should be able to create a SO without being on hold if credit checking is disabled. If you are not checking for credit limits, there is nothing to prevent sending out the SO or Picking Sheet.

I usually hide the option to Print if on Hold. This forces them to take the order off hold to do anything with it.

The customer is on Credit Hold. The security setting will prevent you from clicking OK on the credit screen but you can click the ""hold"" button which creates the SO on hold and prevents you from changing that status. My issue is you can proceed with printing the SO and Picking Sheet. I did not check to see whether that indicates it is on hold

I was already planning my work around but was wondering why go to the trouble to ""hold"" if you can just mark on hold and ship product and then get the owner mad because we are delivering product to unworthy customers.

Ah, I see! Perhaps you could embed the status in the form itself, to not print if it's on hold.

Or a giant watermark ""THIS IS ON HOLD"". I am just wondering why the Print on Hold check box is defaulted to marked. It just doesnt make business sense to me.
