Am I being overly picky or did I just miss this on the SPM? Shouldn't the SPM also list the requirements for Internet access both for server and workstation? I don't think you can realistically set up Sage without having ongoing Internet access. Many customers concerned about Crypto type viruses also want to lock down servers and remote/desktop sessions so having more precise information on ports/urls would be helpful for security-minded customers who don't want to have open Internet access on their servers. This is increasingly the first document users ask for when planning an upgrade which increasingly also includes a new server or servers. At the least, I think Sage should list for both workstation and server: - URLs that must be reachable from server and workstation - Ports that must be open for outbound - Specific instructions for configuration if needed I believe access is a requirement in several areas: - Licensing (Sage 100cloud and Intelligence) - Sage Exchange - Payroll 2018+ tax table calculation - Possibly downloading Microsoft components

After all doesn't Sage 100Cloud mean connected to the cloud services. Don't forget the new Sage Barcode (Mobile Sales, Physical Count) which is part of the system now.

Seems to fall right in line (and a 'Sage CYA') re: the fact that [Payroll clients are apparently SOL if any internet connectivity issues exist](https://90minds-com.socialcast.com/messages/38406499?ref=stream)...""Hey, we never said an internet connection was required.

I'd expect at least a KB article... but expectations are the birth place of disappointment.

Just pointing out how cryptos tend to function it is actual doing more harm than good by disconnecting the server from the internet. Generally speaking they infect one terminal then that terminal encrypts documents that it has access to, which means that removing internet from the server won't do anything in fact it would increase its susceptibility as it would be much harder to offsite backup and update the server. However that's not to say you shouldn't lock down that server using different tools.
