  • 1.  Alternative to Avalara

    Are there any alternatives for Avalara for Integrated Sage 100 Sales Tax Calculations?  I recall seeing Vertax at Sage Summit; but do not know much about them.  Does anyone have experience with them, and integration with Credit Card Processing, or JobOps, etc.?  Our client is at the complete end of their rope and can not get cooperation with support.  Something broke with their integration on Monday and here it is Friday and they still can not enter sales orders or update invoices.  Yes, we have escalated to everyone we can and are finally getting responses today. 

    Any recommendations to move away from Avalara are welcomed.

    Try doing a search on 90Minds for Vertex.  I think it was about 6-9 months ago that I was looking at it for a client and from what I recall, I saw several posts but not many positive comments about Vertex.

    I've no experience with this product, so this isn't a recommendation, it's just a tax solution I hear being used with other ERPs.  It's TaxJar.

    Same experiences with Avalara. I warn customers upfront that dealing with Avalara may be challenging based on my experiences and those of the group.
