All - I'm not sure what the process is but I would like to drop off the Admin Board.
This is not out of any negative feelings or a vote of no confidence for the rest of the Admin Board. If anything, I'm very excited about what we have built and feel that the latest Meeting was amazing and well-done. I will always be proud to have been part of the team that pulled that off.
I envision further great things from the group and the membership as things move forward.
I also feel that the group is in a good spot with Vendor Membership and renewals should be easier than the initial sales so my guess is that should stay stable / grow. Most of my information is in the Vendor Member document. If someone wants me to bundle up the individual emails to vendors I can do that if you feel that would be important.
There are a few third parties that are interested in Silver Memberships this year. xkZero was interested in a Platinum Membership for the barter so that needs to be addressed - I did not go back to Paul yet to explain that we would prefer to handle it straight up with no barter. I can close down the open ones before moving on if you all feel that would be best. It shouldn't take much effort.
My reason for resigning the Board is simple: I'm too busy with Azamba these days and feel that I can no longer devote the energy and brainpower to help take 90 Minds to the next level.
Azamba ran on fumes for 7 years and we finally have started to make some money. I owe it to my wife (and myself) to do my best to maximize this to offset our recent lean years. Plus I am starting up the new MS CRM focused business which will require even more attention.
I would be interested in being considered for a committee to put together a Customer Conference event if you all decide that is of interest. I think that the end user audience is hungry for something more technical and substantial than the fluff that Summit has become (and continues to head towards).
Other than that, I'm not dying - I'm here if anyone wants my opinion or assistance.
If you are looking for replacements to the Board, I would suggest the usual suspects: John Hoyt, Brian Rice, Moira Goggin (spelling?), Jerry Norman, or Jeff Roth (who has experience on the SLA board and could add a different perspective).
@RobertWood - can you please let me know if there is something that I need to officially do to resign?
