90p Admin

All, I would like to make a request/motion that we comp Moira MOTM fees (of $875) . She has been doing a tremendous amount of work and it would be very easy for us to just Refund her MOTM ticket via Eventbrite. We would then have her sign up as admin which includes a free ticket., Anyone opposed to this.?

I will let her know that the admin voted to comp her MOTM fees to thank her for hard work on the project.

I don't have a problem with that however what about others on the committee -- Brian, Phil, Jerry ( I think that covers everyone)

Moira has done a lot more work than the rest. The others will be getting shirts (nice 90minds Polo) and thank you for the help. (Maybe a amazon card)

Let's vote on them all? Do they all get a pass? What constitutes a level of participation? I asked my wife about what she gets for participating in her national conference as a committee chair and she indicated that it wasn't full reimbursement for the conference. I think we need to discuss more fully before we set a precedent that we have to live with. I think we need to reward. Need a process. Full, half, Amazon gift card??

SO my vote is yes for Moira for free ticket to Full Conference (Pre and MOTM) and no to the rest for free ticket to conference. The planning committee members will receive a Polo shirt and a Amazon gift card. (Except Admin team members (Jim, Therese, Jeff, Wayne) will not receive a gift card)

Moira , Therese and I have done a majority of the work on MOTM. Therese and I are both compensated. Moira is not. I think Moira has done more then just be on the planning committee in my book she has earned it. The others have attended the meetings and made phone calls and set up a session or two. They have earning recognition but not a free ticket..

My vote is that the planning committee is all compensated the same way. If one puts in more effort than another - that's called paying your dues. Likely that person will move in and fill an admin/board role.

I agree that Moira has done a lot for the group over the past year. That should be recognized differently that of the committee participation. Many have contributed in in different ways that add up. I think we either discuss this in detail in SD or during a group call. We need to consider the big picture.

Actually I originally asked if I could refund Moira fees on the eventbrite for all the work she had done. We voted and you Therese and I all agree we should do it It sounds like Jeff is concerned about setting some future precedence and no one on the planning committee should get a ticket so that is a no. Sounds like Wayne says yes and that all the planning committee should get the same thing. So does the motion pass. I think so but. It is not unanimous .

I am not against rewarding Moira for her work. I am against doing it as some type of one off. Committee members should get some level of compensation/reward. Presenters have gotten an Amazon card in the past. Committee members get a shirt/and an amazon card (or two)? AS for Moira's GEM (Going the Extra Mile) recognition, that can be a separate topic.

BTW, are there any plans for an Admin meeting in SD next month?

Jeff I think we have a majority to comp her ticket. If you want to make another motion relating to the rest of the planning committee or an all encompassing policy you are welcome to, But in this case in regards to Moira we can comp her ticket.

I think we are all in agreement to comp Moira. I do think we need to consider what levels of compensation we offer committee members if we are shifting the majority of the work over to them.

Frankly Therese, Moira and I did a majority of the work. the others deserve a polo and a thank you. My opinion anyways.

All well and good. Who is running the show next year or even next summer? Just trying to think ahead.
