Is it me?  I don't see a way to clear the Alias field on a line in SO. Is this something new (I'm testing on 2024, 2025)?  I have my Role set to everything...

Sage fills it in automatically, even when you don't use an Alias during data entry... if an Alias exists that applies (general or customer specific).  A script might work though... I've done alias overrides via script (but don't remember if I have tried setting a blank).

This was just a one time thing for a customer - someone had setup an alias that wasn't supposed to be there and instead of having to fix it in IM and then delete/re-add the line on the order, they thought it would be nice to be able to clear it there. Which I have to agree with...

I have had to make an edit in a System File by user to allow that field to be editable. Our client has a small group of users that want to type in something different or remove the defaulted value, when applicable. However, I can't access any details now (on PTO) to tell you the file and field.

@Madeline Stefanou - go back to ignoring work!  My client can wait.
