After visiting a smallish company using RealWorld (and happy) -- with no budget for a significant change -- BUT -- a big use of credit cards (they were a retailer).
Why can't Sage offer their bundles for free (including first year maintenance) and just charge subsequent year maintenance.
Lock the system with date expiring codes - with a 6 month grace period (which the customer agrees to up front).
Then we could have a solution for these low end deals that don't see value in a software switch - at least not enough value to open their wallets.
Perhaps this is too niche of a promo - but it seems like there should be an offer where the bundles are either free or substantially discounted so we have some type of a foot in the door.
