After integrating Sage CRM 7.1 with Sage 100 Advanced 2013 and updating the Sage ERP customers & contacts to CRM, I can't seem to find a way to get the Sales Orders and Quotes to link. I see the field on SO for Sage CRM User and opportunity. Do I just import a sage user to the SO field? What about the opportunity number since it doesn't exist in CRM yet?

I believe you will only see orders/quotes entered via CRM in CRM. If it was entered in Sage 100, there is no link to CRM. @JohnWilder?

If I'm reading this right, yes @ThereseLogeais you are correct. You should start from Sage CRM, created an Opportunity, then a Quote\Sales Order from there. They will then link. You can link a Sales Order to an Opportunity after the fact, but the Opportunity must exist at the Company level in Sage CRM.

only works for new orders after you have migrated to crm because the company id is missing in older sales orders. I think that is what you are asking.

For what it's worth, I agree with the above. When customers start using CRM, the new protocol typically is that sales quotes and orders are created within Sage CRM. Either by creating an Opportunity manually and then adding Quotes / Orders under the Opportunity or by auto-creating the Opportunity by clicking New Quote or New Order while on a CRM Company record. This is a go-forward strategy for quotes and orders. Historical information can still be accessed via the Inquiry tab found in CRM Companies area for Companies that are linked to Sage 100.

Moira, I may of missed something but our CRM implementer says that there is the ability to push orders and quotes over from ERP into CRM if they were created in ERP but not ones that were created prior to the link of CRM and ERP. This is where a VI job would come in for historical data OR a linked server and views of the past quotes and orders
