Just make sure you discuss the need for a fast connection. I’ve seen companies go this route then they want to suddenly add salespeople tethering off a phone. IMO, it’s better to recommend a Remote Desktop type solution and let the customer override you.
The gotcha’s I’ve seen:
- workstation setup
- workstation syncs
Both can run slowly over a regular data line.
I also don’t know what impact any third party integrations might have.
I would put in writing/email a recommendation that they go with a Remote Desktop type solution and if they override you and have a poor experience you have your recommendation to keep you out of trouble.
