Advanced 5.3/2016 - Client was hit by Ransomware and the IT company ""fixed it"". So of course now I get to re-fix it! Migration started and received the following error pretty quick: ""XcopyFile returned the following error - the process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process"" my thought is to temp turn off ODBC security, but now I am locked out of Sage with the error ""SY_InvalidReg:"" That's the whole error and I get nada in the KB. Tried renaming Workstation, Console and sessions and reinstalled the workstation, but no luck. Happens in Mas90 mode as well. Anyone seen either of those errors before?

Aww crap. Error during system migration does not return the original system files. backup to the rescue! Hopefully whatever was tying up the ODBC will be gone now. but I would still appreciate feedback if anyone has any on the first error

Check this - looks like a partial restore of the system folders was needed - https://90minds-com.socialcast.com/messages/38767503?ref=stream

Thanks Wayne, It was indeed the System and SOA files. Tooke several tried but we eventually got past it. Now they have a ton of errors related to the CS ODBC, so I think we will need to rebuild that service (or maybe have them try an alternative for remote locations
