Customer started getting this message during shipping data entry, tab two.  Avalara is in play.

seems to be a warning, not fatal.  Client so far can continue processing.

Has anyone encountered this?

Been researching the past +/- 3 hours - customer says they called VTECH who has taken multiple calls all who are also using Avalara

This is an Avalara issue.  Avalara has corrected it.  On the invoice, you need to change the tax schedule, accept the invoice and then set it back to AVATAX, otherwise the invoice will show "TAX ERROR".  At least this is what I had to do for my client.
