Has anyone run into a case where adding on users or a module to a subscription, if you're within a few days of the Sage 100 renewal date (really just the monthly payment date), it results in your margin and tier getting nearly eliminated thanks to the pro-rating? It sounds like the issue is that instead of 'placing and order' it ends up sort of being a modification to the existing monthly subscription amount instead.
I got the indication this was a recent phenomenon.  Right now I have to sandbag an order so that I don't get screwed.  My PAM would get screwed too.
    I hope I'm wrong!

I was under the impression that you get credited for remaining days of the old plan and this money is added on to the new subscription year.  This happened to a client last year with five days left and it became a confusing cluster fork.  Even the annual renewals are confusing since they don't specify user count or modules.  Had they, perhaps the confusion with Sage Alerts renewals would have surfaced sooner had the resellers been aware that SA maintenance was not collected.  Renewals are a big black hole.  But rest assured, Sage is on top of it!!!!

If you add users or modules just before or close to the renewal date, you are majorly shorted on commission.  I experienced this twice in 2019 and lost out on $6k in commission.  Unfortunately,  both were in the same month otherwise I would have held off on the 2nd.

According to our PAM and Rob Larsh, this is not intended and they should be making the adjustments so you are not shorted tier or margin.
