  • 1.  Adding lines in Shipping Data Entry

    I have an idea for printing a Bill of Lading form via Packing sheet entry, it is dependent on being able to ADD lines in shipping data entry.

    Unfortunately, when I try to implement the "brilliant" idea, it appears one CANNOT add lines in shipping data entry for the BOL details.

    Can someone say "it isn't so" Jeff?  This is where you allow this.......  I do see a role for allowing modifications to comments and misc fields in shipping data entry but nothing on ADDING lines,

    The fields you want to add to the Line Item Area... can it be UDF's on the Header, instead?  You can't add items to a sales order shipment in shipping data entry; at least not that I have ever found.

    If it was only one field, I would go for it as a UDF, but......

    Plan B will be to add via invoice entry, maybe print the packing slip.

    The ultimate plan is to submit via ideation90 for a security role to allow additional line entry in shipping data entry and also on the Sage Idea site.  A simple request but Sage pushback will be that it is a mountain of programming, not the mole hill I think it is.  Even if it is a go, I will be retired before it hits the street.

    Whenever I have designed a BoL, I've used SO Entry / SO Printing.
