  • 1.  Adding a UDF to employee deduction record

    No comments about this being Christmas.  The dishes are done, the dogs are sleeping...
    ANYWAY.  I've added a UDF to the Employee Deduction record but then find out - I can't add it to the screen!  I can add it to the DISPLAY part, but can't add it to the little screen where you actually enter or change a deduction.  Wut?????  Am I missing something?

    The screen you are looking for is not direct.  Open Customizer for the Employee Maintenance screen list of panels and go to DDEDUCDTL.  You'll have to change the screen size first, but you can add it here, and enter value(s).

    Oh, thank you @Michelle Taylor - I was only looking at the descriptions on the right side instead of looking at the code names on the left, and "Employee Maintenance" ... well, let's just say it could be named more appropriately.

    By any chance when you added this udf 5 years ago did you want to feed this to payroll entry detail and eventually to history?  I don't see a business object to add the values of the UDF created in Employee Deduction to Payroll Entry Detail.
