ACT! Global Conference SQL news
I just returned from the ACT! Global Conference in Phoenix. One notable piece of information that came out of the conference was that the new ACT v17 is much faster than previous versions. One dealer reported that a custom report he wrote for a client used to take 6 hours or more to complete and now it takes 20 minutes. The management response was that Sage never had a real SQL programmer on staff. Once Swiftpage bought ACT they hired one and we are seeing the results. I wonder if the Sage 100 SQL ERP is suffering from the same lack of SQL resources.?
