ACH payroll question - Sage 100 ERP 2013. The user's bank is asking for a 0 to be placed in front of the 9 character immediate destination. The main issue is that the Immediate Destination field in ACH setup is only 9 characters. So no opportunity to stick a 0 in front. Have you encountered this request before - and if so have you been able to make the change (and how)?

Suppose you could just manually edit the ACH file.

The problem is that they want the 0 before the Immediate Destination -- and there isn't a similar field for that.

They sent me an image of what it should look like. It's the first request I've had for Immediate Destination.

Found this in the old KB #110-514802 Subject: Bank or financial institution has rejected the ACH file because character positions 4-13 in Record Type 1 are incorrect. Possible Resolution: In a Direct Deposit ACH file the Immediate Destination number is located within Record Type 1, character positions 4 thru 13 and is allocated 10 characters in an ACH file. However only 9 characters are used and the number input in most cases follows the Transit/ABA format of 8 digits + 1 check digit. Obtain the correct Immediate Destination number to use from your financial institution. So what is in position 4 in your file? Is it blank?
