  • 1.  ACH file containing spaces between records

    ACH batch file keeps getting rejected due to spaces between records.  I have enabled Pad File to Block Size, used sized 9 and 10 both did not change the outcome.  The bank is still telling me I can not have spaces between records.  Any suggestions on how to get eliminate spaces between records?   I am dealing with Bank of America btw.   Thanks

    If you don't already have it - this is a good tool to review/edit ACH - https://sourceforge.net/projects/achviewer/?source=typ_redirect

    It's not going to answer the main question but might be helpful in diagnosing what's happening.

    It may be: Put CR/LF after each record.  Do you have that set to Yes?

    Chris no I have it set to LF then CR, I'll set it to yes and see if it fixes the spaces , thanks

    Looks like the only difference is the CR/LF is set to Yes so I'm hoping for a pass on this next test run.
