Sage 300

Accpac 6.0 with Insight 6.0 install (Softline in South Africa still calls it that and this is the accounting office install using database dumps from their Africa locations). Accpac itself works fine, but Accpac Insight, when setting up the database connection, gives the following message, which Sage support says they have no record of: ""Could not register the database. It may not be a Sage Accpac Insight compatible database."" Anyone seen this before?

Hi Phil, What database is your Accpac install running on?(ms.sql express, ms.sql, db2, etc) Is Insight also on that db platform? Is insight showing up as a module in Accpac once its installed?

It is SQL Express. I will have to check on the module showing in Accpac

Hi Phil, I think you need Sql Express 2008 or higher for the 6.0 insight please check the db version too.

It is 2008. I think the issue is we need to recreate the Insight profiles, because apparently that was what was done at the other location. I have an appointment to test that this afternoon.

It was a matter of recreating the profiles in Insights Profile Manager
