According to LinkedIn, Lori Maloof left Sage in January for a new employer. Probably speaks volumes about what is going on inside Sage regarding at least 100 line. Confirms the conclusions we've been making.

Last I'd heard during the reorganization where Erik Kaas left Lori also shifted from Sage 100 to perhaps working with ISVs? I'm not sure I read an awful lot into Lori's departure. She played an amazing number of positions within Sage (including leaving and coming back at least once). I am unsure how many were strategic positions. Deborah Nelson has been the Sage 100 Product Manager since October 2013 (this may have also been when Erik departed). Prior to being named Sage 100 ERP Product Manager she worked as a Usability Analyst (design?). I'm unsure how strategic she is to the product line either. The bigger problem is that we're in February and have no product upgrade for a customer base who has been largely loyal and paying annual maintenance and trained to expect a Q4 annual release. This also has a ripple effect for those consultants who make money off upgrades since a late or lack of upgrade translates into less work. And when each upgrade introduces fewer visible improvements it's increasingly difficult to convince customers to both stay on plan and upgrade to the current level.

I don't disagree. Lori returned to Sage after leaving for 2 1/2 yrs. Her timing coincides with a period where MAS was going to be webified. I think she likely came to the conclusion that there wasn't any room for her in the mid-market ERP product management beyond maintenance. I've said this before: one reason we see so many bone-headed executions of programs is that experienced mid-level people have left, leaving only ""suits"" and quasi-tech people without bureaucratic experience to roll things out. So things like the cricket serenade about Sage 100 2014 repeatedly happen. So, the relevance of plans for life without Sage edges higher. The SLA retreat looks more timely: http://slaalumni.com/retreat/

I'm going to the SLA because of the topic and 2 presenters. I'm pretty sure I'll come away with an adjusted view of the future and how to approach it.
