Sage 100

Aatrix w-2 printing. Getting this error error 1 pr_efiling.pvc line 1246 Running v2013 w-2/3 printing. Special twist. Took client's v4.3 YE PR files and copied them into v2013. Converted them, but not much converted (was a little surprised). Ran another company's v4.3 data and result was the same. Ran a v2013 client PR data without issue. Nothing on KB, I am thinking that maybe a file needs to be resized. But which one. Thoughts?

I had the same issue last week. Couldn't find much in KB except recreating PR_41 which did not resolve the issue. I fixed it by making sure 2013 IRD was installed. PR_41 has to do with eFiling and W-2s. So I finally worked through it by running an Aatrix W-2 form (I tried historical W-2) which successfully built some temp files and started the Aatrix wizard. After that, the error went away for all the other forms. Don't ask me to figure out what it all means. It was just trial and error.

Sigh, biting the bullet. Hope the wait isn't more than two hours.....

It looks like the file being opened is PR_41. My PRABC was empty until I performed Payroll Year End Close.

Only on hold for 20 minutes. Oh, yes, that is in the knowledge base...... BTW, KM@sage.com is the email address to let sage know what you think of the KB. But back to the topic at hand. They are sending me the KB which I will post. You need to install the 2012 IRD, then the first quarter 941 release, then the 2013 IRD....................

Here is the actual fix that worked.......... Ignore the post above about installing in order..... Error: ""1 PRWPAA 7425"" Products Sage 100 ERP Description Error 1 PRWPAA 7425, file=PR_41xxx.soa (xxx=company code), occurs during Period End Processing in Payroll May also get ""Report output exceeds printer width or record width exceeded on file write operation"" before Error 1 PRWPAA 7425 Resolution Using Data File Display & Maintenance, verify no valid data exists in the PR_41xxx.soa file. 1.Open Library Master, Utilities, Data File Display & Maintenance 2.In file name field, type PR_41xxx.soa (xxx=company code) and press ENTER 3.Click the Key Scan button 4.Verify all records show zero or negative amounts 5.Close out of Data File Display & Maintenance Rename & Manually Reinitialize PR_41xxx.soa file 1.Using Windows Explorer, browse to the ..\MAS90\MAS_xxx\PRxxx folder 2.Rename the PR_41xxx.soa file to PR_41xxx.OLD 3.Open Library Master, Utilities, Reinitialize Data Files 4.Click Manual button 5.in the File Name field, type PR_41xxx (xxx=company code) and press ENTER 6.Click Proceed Additional Information Note: This file is the eFiling & Reporting W2 file, if W2s have been eFiled & saved for this Company Code and valid records exist, please call Sage Support at 800-854-3415.

This is the fix from the KB. I saw this but it did not fix the issue for me. That's when I did my own trial and error.

Client still on v4.3, ran into same error. Same fix works... Trying to get them moved to v2014 later this month.
