AAtrix - keeps saying it needs to update the forms. It bombs out of the automatic update, but seems to do the Manual just fine. But then you get back in and it says it needs to be updated again. I've updated them to the latest SP for 2015, I've removed it from his machine and started with the basic Aatrix install and then did the updates, and still, each time.....

I seem to recall an issue where I had a similar problem which was resolved with run as - administrator when manually installing the update.

Or when it doubt, rename the MAS_XXX\PR (or AP) \eFilingReporting folder.

I had a problem similar to this at a client. The Forms are this this folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Sage\Aatrix\Forms. If you copy them from your directory and paste them into their directory then you will get through the issue. However, I have not been able to determine the issue on this workstation. I checked several things with no success. This will work for a one time fix to print W-2's etc. but the automatic update will not kick off the next time there is an update. This client only uses Aatrix to print W-2's so I have to do it annually.

Dang it! So I renamed the folder, copied over the Forms from my just-updated computer. Still tells me it has to be updated. It looks like it installs just fine. No UAC, Run as Admin on everything.

I was having this same thing last quarter I think. Can't remember how I got past it, try from a diff company code or re-install wksetup?

Hm. I can't even get it to work on the server, logged in as Admin. FOOF.

When we had this, it turned out to be a firewall issue (makes no sense but true) in that the Aatrix program does something that some admins block in the firewall. There is a document somewhere about the required Aatrix configuration, and the fact that you can do it manually does not mean that the firewall is configured for how the Aatrix program does it automatically. I hope this points you toward a possible direction. We configured a single user notebook system and confirmed everything worked in our office. Then we uninstalled and re-installed (but did not upgrade) and it would not upgrade (when running) in their office (we were only using their internet, not their domain etc.) that pointed us to their firewall and ""poof"" - the network admin changed a setting, and their original Aatrix ran. I can try to find the document later this week if you don't get this or otherwise eliminate the firewall. Jeff

@JeffFiddelman is right, now I remember working with one client whose IT person was onsite and they said something like I have one more thing I can shut off from the server and when he did it worked. I too do not know what it was.
