I had to scroll in my messages on LinkedIn to find him, but he tends to latch on to anyone that talks about integration and Sage 100. He's clearly got his target hyper-focused. Not sure if any of these claims are true, but would love to know.

    • "I plan to offer a Sage 100 browser based SDK that support BOI and JSON as associative arrays." (implying someone has the pleasure of building everything before and after the transaction)
    • "I introduced ProvideX to Sage in the beginning and helped get their first Windows release out." - ... curious...
    • "I'm able to run text ProvideX scripts and R/W to the Sage ProvideX files without the object (BOI) layer and from a web browser as well." - curiouser... can't tell if this is more concerning or interesting.

He's been heavily pushing an open-source ERP called Dolibarr (Dolibarr Open Source ERP and CRM - Web suite for business).

No opinions either way about him, but considering he mainly reached out immediately after I posted about the Sage 100 REST API that I promote that Phil McIntosh wrote... and now aggressively pushing Dolibarr in LinkedIn posts... I'm taking his comments with a grain of salt (very much a "prove it!" stance).

I hope the commentary helps or provides more data for any future conversations.

I believe that is John Spikowski (posting under a new account), and he was banned from Sage Community a few years ago (2022?) for a series of super insulting posts.

I personally don't care if anything he promotes is legit, because I'd never want to work with someone like that.  (Alnoor knows more).

I think I know who this is but the fact that nearly 100% of the forum posts are largely anonymous sould be enough said. And if there was going to be a viable and commonly used browser based Sage 100 by now it would have happened. I know Blytheco floated one, I believe DSD is floating one ( or at last partial ). There have been a few niche browser or app based sales order front ends.  In my very amateur opinion what people mean when they say browser based Sage 100 is VERY different than what anyone has been able to deliver.

John Spikowski is the cockroach and troll who has been stepped on over 1,000 times and just when you think he's gone for good, he shows up again, reincarnated and spewing his lines again. He will start off with promising, exciting statements about how his stuff works better, avoids the BOI, etc. BUT if you were to hypothetically reply and start asking general questions about his claims, he will not only reply but eventually start a rant about Sage and evenually names people. He is ready to have a discussion/fight with anyone but AFAIK he has never provided a short vid or demo for any of his integration stuff just a big showfront. There is possibly substance to what he has to offer but he doesn't know how to approach anyone professionally.

He seems to have some of PTSD about past misgivings with Sage. I was working at Sage when they made the switch to ProvideX from BBx4.and I got introduced to a lot of new people in the ProvideX space we would work with, I don't recall hearing of Spikowski. If he helped in the first Windows version of Mas90 that's news to me. Now it is very possible he offered a different direction for ProvideX development to George Riviere and Doris Amstutz, but they turned him down and he is still bitter about that today.

I've run into him over and over again on so many forums, not just the Sage community one. Consistently in all those places too, instead of marketing his stuff, he just wants to be a troll.

Also, as Kevin alluded to, he's been kicked off the Sage forum but then always forms a new identity to return as. One of the times he was removed was because he made disparaging remarks about me.
