A customer is moving from Sage 300 payroll to a payroll service. I need to export tax details for their conversion. The only report which shows this is based on UPQEMPL, which is a data pipe .dll and therefore doesn't work from within Crystal, nor apparently even from a modified report added to the Accpac desktop, not on the SQL tables. Has anyone figured out the logic of how to connect the tables to recreate what that dll does to output FIT status, exemptions, additional withholding, etc?

Have you tried using the employee screen and exporting all employee earning and deduction codes and formulas to a CSV or other flat file? I haven't had alot of success trying to duplicate data pipes, but the exports have always accomplished what I need.

You can do the same with the general setup screen for earnings and deductions, on a company-wide general basis.

@StanPosner - Thanks! I think this will work once I get all the impossible dates fixed up.

Are the filing status and tax type codes to descriptions stored anywhere in SQL? If not does anyone already have it documented from Sage?
