A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item customer pricing as override prices. They don't use price codes and the customers don't have price levels and there are no quantity breaks. The price will not pull into the sales order, nor will the price lookup display the override price. Not sure why it is not working. Everything looks correct. I must be missing an option somewhere.

What price displays? The Item Pricing Hierarchy is as follows (from highest to lowest): Promotion Pricing - If a sales promotion is in effect for the current date and the promotion price is less than the calculated price Contract Pricing (Customer Price Schedule) - For the customer for this item Item Pricing - For the item based on the customer price level Item Pricing - For the item based on the standard (blank) price level Price Code - For the item, based on the customer price level Price Code - For the item, based on the standard price level Standard Price - Based on the item's standard price set in Inventory Maintenance

Have you confirmed that the customer has no price level in customer maint?

  • 4.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

Does the override price populate after they enter the quantity ordered?

Multicurrency? it requires something extra in Foreign Cost Price Maintenance

  • 6.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

    Posted 02-23-2016 09:27
@WayneSchulz $0 displays, I am assuming it is the standard price (which is $0) There is no promotional pricing so contract pricing should be next on the list.

@DianeRuth no price levels in customer maint.

@MichaelNottoli still $0 after entering quantity.

@RobertWhite they do have DSD Multi Currency, don't remember Foreign Cost Price Maintenance, where is that?

guess I could have put that all in one reply - LOL

I believe, Multicurrency | Main | Foreign Cost Price Maintenance. If you're billing the customer in something other than Base Currency, you need to need to have the Item/Currency setup in this screen, check the box for price and be sure to enter at least 0.01 (0.00 will not work) and it will then use the customer specific price that you have set up.

Found Foreign Cost Maint, this company is not actually using multi currency so the list is empty. Will add an item and test.

Were the prices imported or keyed manually? I had a problem with a flag when importing.

  • 14.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

    Posted 02-23-2016 09:52
@CooperBlack they were imported, BUT I manually entered one and it does not work either. I also compared the records in DFDM and they were identical. I will go back and double check again. @RobertWhite adding .01 to price in Foreign Cost Price Maint did not change anything.

  • 15.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

@CooperBlack just confirmed adding a customer price override manually produced the same result.

Search the site for "" customer pricing as override prices"". I received 17 hits. Alnoor had an interesting problem that involved National Accounts. Maybe this is the key???

  • 19.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

@DianeRuth IN SO Options; Item Pricing by Total Qty is NONE, Price Level by Customer is OFF @JeffSchwenk National Accounts is enabled but no National Accounts are setup.

Are they using National Accounts in AR? If so, check AR options -> National Tab -> Default Customer Pricing Setting

  • 21.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

    Posted 02-23-2016 12:40
@ChrisStAmand, National Accounts is enabled but the customer has no Bill to or Sold to setup. I also have a test company in which I disabled National Accounts and I am stiil getting the same results.

  • 22.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

    Posted 02-23-2016 12:44
@JeffSchwenk I found Alnoor's post, I understand what the issue was for him, but this is not the case here. There is nothing setup under bill to for the customer and I have tested it in another company with National Accounts turned off, still doesn't work.

Item Price Lookup - it shows the standard price $519.25 not the customer pricing $500.00

  • 26.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

    Posted 02-23-2016 13:04
This says Standard Price for pricing method with a blank price level. Are you sure there is no item pricing set up? And you're sure there is no price code for this item?

  • 27.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

Is there a blank price level set up

  • 28.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

Did you say if these overrides were imported?

  • 29.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

    Posted 02-23-2016 13:07
@ThereseLogeais No price codes, no blank price levels - this is the crux of the problem, no matter what I do it goes to standard pricing and will not bring up the customer pricing.

  • 30.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

    Were they imported?

@ThereseLogeais they were imported, but the one I am showing here was manually keyed in.

Have you printed the price list out for that item and have everything check . Maybe that will show you something.

I think I know what @DianeRuth is thinking, that there used to be a flag in IM_Item that indicated whether item/customer pricing existed. I don't think that is there any longer, is it??

  • 36.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

    Posted 02-23-2016 13:15
OK price list shows no customer pricing, must be a problem with the imported records.

But you should see the one you created manually .

I am gathering some data from another test company that it is working on and comparing to the one it is not working on... stay tuned.

I would rebuild that file and see if that helps and then try and import them again

Here are the two records the first one works, the second one doesn't.

  • 42.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

I can try rebuilding the file. It was imported into a blank file, no data prior. This is a massive conversion.

There used to be a flag in IM1 for Customer Pricing. I recall having to set it when doing a VI job. Not sure where the correlating flag is in CI.

  • 44.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

    Posted 02-23-2016 13:25
The only difference that I can see is that the second has division 01. Are they using divisions? If not, they should all be 00.

  • 45.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

I just noticed the keys are different, the one that works has the currency code in it.

  • 46.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

    Posted 02-23-2016 13:26
    They both do.

  • 47.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

    Posted 02-23-2016 13:27
no the KEY does not have the currency code in it, it is in the record but is missing from the key.

  • 48.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

    Posted 02-23-2016 13:28
maybe a rebuild will fix it... stand by...

  • 49.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

    Posted 02-23-2016 13:35
If Currency Code is missing, then run the DSD Conversion for IM again and it should update the pricing table to the correct definition

  • 50.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

    Posted 02-23-2016 13:35
Hmmm...rebuilding stripped out the currency code from the record, and it is still not in the key, AND price lookup still does not work. I think it's time to call Ron Black.

  • 51.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

    Posted 02-23-2016 13:35
The customer no in your original example is 01-0000001. The non-working DFDM is 01-0000045.

  • 52.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

    Posted 02-23-2016 13:35
    will try that @RobertWhite

  • 53.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

    Posted 02-23-2016 13:36
You are correct @ChrisStAmand 1-1 is the manual entry, 1-45 was the imported record. FWIW neither work.

  • 54.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

    Posted 02-23-2016 13:42
OK - DSD conversion put back the currency code in the records but not in the key, price lookup did not work. rebuilding keys changed nothing, currency code is still in records but not in keys, price lookup still does not work.

    Posted 02-23-2016 13:49
The other good one has the USD.00AED

  • 58.  RE: A client on Sage 100 Std 2013 has setup item custo

    Posted 02-23-2016 13:53
@DianeRuth none of the records in the company that does not work (the one with the customers 01-0000045 or 01-0000001) have .USD. in the key. The company that does work (with a different customer list, hence the different customer numbers) all have .USD. in the key. I am thinking the VI job is not building the key correctly, and neither is the rebuild utility.

At this point, make a back up copy of the pricing file, then start all over. Manually enter some pricing and test, then import some pricing. Are you current with the PU's? I haven't skimmed the threads above

Thanks to Joe De Maria at DSD for correcting the IM dictionary and adding the currency field to the key in IM_PriceCode. Afterward we ran the Multi-Currency conversion and BAM it's working.
