90Minds MOTM Cruise I have a proposal for the Cruise. I am thinking that we want to have it on Friday night. Pro 1) Friday is at least $500 less expensive ( Cost Friday is $119 Cost Saturday is $129. (Also 40 person minimum on Friday.. 50 minimum on Saturday) 2) Everyone should be available Friday .... Saturday people will go home after conference. 3) Makes it easier to go to Midway on Sunday (USS midway after an evening the night before is not the best) 4) Boat can hold up to 65 people max 5) 3 hour cruise with Dinner. $5000 for 40 people (Cash bar) The issue is that we need to get a deposit ($3000) to them ASAP. The deal is that someone is holding the Friday night slot and if we can make a deposit it will push the other group into deciding (they have a 24 hours window). My rep didn't think they would do it that quick so it should be our for the evening. If we lose it friday we can get a refund (or transfer to Sat Night) I need authorization to attempt to get Friday Night. Thoughts?

I'm good with this - do we want to include some drink tickets? Maybe 2-3 per person?

I'm up for it if it fits into our budget. I also think we should do the drink tickets so people don't feel 'cheaped' by it being 100% cash bar

I already thought of that . The tickets are $5 to $9 bucks a piece. Also We are also already going to include a $3 a peiece for unlimited (diet pepsi's for Wayne and I)

Wouldn't the drink tickets include soda? I'll carry my soda on board and give drink tickets to someone else.

Let's not bring on a sponsor for cheap.... Russ already wants to be the sandwich sponsor.

To be responsible shouldn't the max # of tickets match to the hours on the boat? In other words one for each hour?

I can talk Russ at Avalara into sponsoring the drinks and maybe some additional appetizers for sure..

Hold up on calling Russ, please @JimWoodhead I'm trying to get an official sponsorship from them. Let's not work at cross purposes.

So do they take credit cards for the down payment? Or does @JeffSchwenk need to send a check ASAP?

A credit will suffice for the deposit .. if we get them a check we get a 3% cash discount. but I think I can do that later.

The credit card will start the 24hr clock on the other party but I will replace the credit card with a check to get the %3 discount!!!

If I have a green light then I will call on Monday send paperwork and deposit authorization. the other party has till Tuesday to accept. if they don't them Friday night is ours.

If I do it today they still will have till Tuesday. So why give them the weekend to decide...

Is the limit of this one 100? Just wondering if we put this out there as a feature of attending and then we have more than what we can accommodate. Looking at it, it seems like it could accommodate 150. Think we're good....

We have Limited number of spots for the conference. First come first serve. We have really have a max of 55. That is double of last year.

Plus 90minds is pretty much footing the Cruise. $130 a person.

The boat as it is configured with tables and seats has a max of around 65. (The 55 is the room size. Although we have 2 rooms we will at time want to all be in one of them.

We are looking at the lighthouse buffet. We may add some appy's too
