Sweet. However, not sure if I agree with the reality of this part of the post - ""Kudos go to Sage for supporting this business model change with their partner community, which seems to fit with Sage's own positioning of focusing on the personal nature of business and being willing to do things differently"". Sage seems to do more ""talking"" than ""walking"" in this respect. We are fortunate to have John, Peter and Ed out there pushing the boulder up the hill for us.

I agree with you on the kudos to Sage part. They seem to be very interested in having their partners become more successful but not much interest in working on their internal issues. Back to my rant about PSG.

Sage made some decisions back in the Ron Verni days that are coming back to haunt them. The bet that buying up different ERP companies would allow those companies to seamlessly integrate (both technology and administrative/marketing) has never been fully realized.

Well let's see, what are the seamless Integrations? Sage CRM Interface between MAS PR and Abra HR SPS What am I missing?

MAS integration with FAS?

As a developer by nature, the thought of seamless integration between disparate systems is a nightmare to consider unless those systems were built from the ground up with integration at mind. SageCRM was built that way for the most part and has several different programming APIs - I can't speak to the others.

Should I give my speech on how integration means different things to a customer than the software publisher?

As we see with the issues that Sage has with the MAS modules that are actually integrated, modifications are are a PITA. Verni must have gotten some mean shit that night he was jammin with the band and decided to do that!
