This website / forum is Higher Logic.  It's my understanding that these Sage sessions are limited to a subset of 90Minds (with Vegas Rules... no sharing with anyone outside the session).

Correct @Thomas Rogers, and thanks @Kevin Moyes, we limit this to avoid having everyone sign an NDA for the meeting and having to track it with Sage.

The above comments are confusing, and I'm not sure everyone understands. Can you elaborate on what all this means?

I read the announcement as meaning: if you're logged into the site and can read this you're welcome, but don't share with others.

These are great... a technical focus (vs marketing), which is very appreciated!

Most of our past Sage Development Roundtables were 60 minutes. THIS one is 90 minutes. More than the usual content. Should be quite interesting!

We sent Sage Dev Team the Q&A from this webinar (all member names removed) following is Diane's follow-up to many of the quetions:

Below are some answers and questions to your spreadsheet. If it was a feature request, that has been added to our database.

    • "Would also LOVE a global feature to refresh ALEs, ala Master Console." (row 20) – Don't really understand what they are asking for.

    • "Is it importable AFTER the fix is applied and you have the records available" – Pretty sure this referred to the records created using the Payroll Status Check Utility and the answer would be no.

    • "legacy 2017 will not have year end updates this year? thought that was 2016 or below." - There will be a TTU update (last ever) for 2017 but not likely that there will be an IRD for Payroll.

    • "Is Russell's demo available on the MD ftp site?" – I believe they were referring to the Time Track App demo. They would need to reach out to R&D, Kevin perhaps, to get access.

Also the following came up during the meeting and Mitch has researched it with the following response …
"Regarding the 90 minds issue regarding missing JC records in SY_ReportManagerMaster.m4t
I duplicated this on 2018.6 and we will be working on it.
At 2018.1 version the JC_ReportManagerMaster.m4t record in the ..\Migration\MergeFiles\JC_ReportManagerMaster.M4t table had all 18 expected records in it. But when you install 2018.6 (not exactly sure where this starts at we will check) the record count of that merge file goes down to 5 which explains the behavior.

Defect originally came in on 2018.3, dated 6/19/2018 but as written could not duplicate. Support could not reduplicate so it went into a Cannot Duplicate State. After we get this fixed I will do a defect analysis to see why this could not be duplicated at the time it was written. It duplicated quite quickly for me but I did it off of some later email communications, not the defect."

Could you have Diane elaborate on the statement that there will likely be no PR IRD for v2017 payroll?  Does that mean that there are no programming changes required at year-end for v2017 payroll clients to successfully process W-2's and other year-end payroll reports?  Some v2017 clients are wanting to wait until early 2020 to upgrade.  Thanks!

Sage has been pretty open about not wanting to support the pre 2.0 payroll with program changes. That being said, I’m willing to bet they are watching to see how many changes might be required and if the changes are nominal they might rethink an IRD. Just a guess on my part. I have no info either way though I am advising people they need to be at 2.x before year-end.
