We all agree about the push-pull relationship with Sage.
Developing a growth strategy and plan is not a one and done. So, yes it is ""long term."" I think it is completely reasonable to agree on an initial plan and change it as we develop. A key part of this is agreeing on if we expand from Sage 100, and if so where we start and how we do it; that's the ""strategy"" part. The ""plan"" would be the efforts we attempt during 2018.
We can't keep the platform effort in ""research mode"" for years. So we tie it off somehow this year. That is what I mean.
Member participation is something we should be measuring (how?) and keep some ever-changing programs active to improve it.
I make this clarification only try to help all understand my meaning. I'm not a fan of grand, 5-year strategies for small operations like this. But a written set of goals for the year along with a starting set of things we will do to advance them is, I think, very useful to all.
