I love it but don't get why the drill down (excellent idea, BTW) goes to PO ROG for the ROG and back to AP Invc Hist for the ROI drill down?  If the whole point is to add the invoice lines to the Receipt History, why not just drill down to the same file?  (And there is no more guarantee you will find it in AP than PO if they have purged AP history.)

That is now how I read it - it seems they will be storing it and displaying it from PO, but during conversion they will load what the can from A/P ?

This is the one I have been waiting for since 1996.  :)  It looks good.  If I am understanding their notes, the register for PO Receipt of Invoice without ROG in the new release will look like the PO Receipt of Invoice with ROG (does today), where all line details will be exposed.  Even if it is just a PO Receipt of Invoice.  I love that idea.  The drill down buttons on the last tab are a nice touch.

Both drill downs were included because both AP Invoice History Inquiry and PO Receipt History Inquiry may apply to a given PO. I think I understand and agree with the approach.
1.  The response seems to be correctly understanding the request.  ROG would only be available in a PO inquiry and ROI would be available in either AP or PO (based on settings).​

2. Yes, if a null date for PO ROG, then no drill down.  Yes, if a null date for PO Receipt of Invoice Data, then no drill-down.
