For them to view the documents in Google Drive, we add each user's Google account ( which is what is being posted in this group as an Add ) to a Google group called 90 Minds Consultant Members
In turn, the "90 Minds Consultants Members" group has view access to our Google Drive:
Using a group makes it easier to add/remove people from everywhere. If we were to add people individually to documents, then when someone left, we'd have to go through many documents and remove their individual security access. Instead, we just remove them from the group, and they lose all their access to 90 Minds's shared Google Drive.
I see all these types of notifications (below) in my Google account. They are created because the user requested access to just one specific document. For example, they were trying to view the "Read Me First: About 90 Minds Content Library," and they hit a message telling them they didn't have access but could click and request access for that document.
That sends the message to the creator of the document ( in this case - me ) requesting access to that document.
However, instead of clicking and adding each user to the FAQ one by one, the user gets listed here, and Anne adds them to our Google Group for much easier permission management.
Once the user joins our Google Group, they have full access to the shared Google Drive and should not encounter any more challenges as they browse or view more information.

?? How are these folks different than people who simply request access? All the people you've added thus far, what's the intention? I guess I'm not really seeing a difference between these people and those who simply request access, especially now that the File Storage Library is available. I mean, wouldn't everyone just be considered a View Member?
