  • 1.  3.71 Inventory items that have been "fixed"

    Posted 11-17-2021 13:32
Hi All,   Just recently brought a client into this decade from 3.71.   They routinely did the "fix" for on hand quantities which of course have now magically reappeared.   Is there a way looking at the 3.71 data to tell which items have been fixed.    I ran 3.71 as an end user but this isn't something i can recall (being as old as 3.71  LOL)

    Thanks much!

It is likely to be a lot of data, but you can always dump IM transaction file (IM5 I believe) to Excel, probably helpful to grab the quantity onhand out of IM2 for the Item Code/Whs combination as well.  Then you can sort as you like, but likely item code, whs code, posting date.  Then total up the transactions to see if they match the IM2 quantity on hand.

As I recall, didn't you have to do an IM balancing process prior to migration to any of the later versions?  Just spitballing here, but I would think any item you had to force into balance would be one that was 'Fixed' since there would be no transaction in IM5 to reflect that.

After the upgrade, run the *UTL re-balancing utility.  This will check the various inventory tables against transaction history, and give you a full list of all inconsistencies.

HI Kevin,  Should have realized this was the easiest thing to do.  As the upgrade was done on copies of the company, I just reran the 4.50 balancing routine against the 3.71 data and got the report.   Thanks!
