  • 1.  371 GL Account Validation Problems

    Doing a 310 to 2018 step up upgrade and running the GL Premigration Utilities @ my 4.x level - GL Account Validation.  Report for 1 company shows they must of had a GL Main Segment of 9 characters at 1 point.  However, their GL Structure now shows 4 characters Main. No second segment.
    How am I going to create those 9 character accounts so GL will validate and migrate? 
    Can I expand, create, migrate, convert, remove/delete, and then put the account length back to 4 through DFDM?  That sounds risky!
    Ideas?

    Is the GL Account Validation report saying the 9-digit main segment account is still there in 3.71? If so, maybe you can renumber it in 3.71 in a copy company with GL Account Delete/Renumber/Merge and then run GL PreMigration utility on that copy company?? #GL #WAG​​

    Wasn't able to do that, but removed history and it resolved the issue.  Earliest fiscal year was 1918!!  yes, 1918!!  Figuring they had an oops back at startup.
