    2nd Annual 90Minds Conference - I think we should pick a date so we can tell membership to ""save the date"". I don't think we need to set the agenda, but announcing the dates and location now will allow them to mark their calendars. If Jim and DSD is willing to host it, a return to SD would be fun. Do we have anyone in Hawaii? Maybe we could work in a field trip to Irvine. As far as timing, February is still the best month. October is too soon, November and December are packed full of holidays and January everyone is helping with year end stuff. If we wait till March, we start running into spring breaks. Thoughts?

    Also we were at the capacity of DSD's room. @JimWoodhead, did you check with the hotel about their rooms?

    While I would like to open it to OASIS, I think we should limit it to the full membership only. As Robert points out, size of the group can become an issue. I think full membership should have its privileges as I just hyped to the class of 2012 inductees. If we arrive on Wednesday, we could field trip it to Irvine on Thursday, two days of meetings then Sunday could be certification day, a day to hang in SD or a travel day back to your home base. We could look into a conference room at the Embassy as long as we get decent Internet access. if we do stay there, we need to work free Internet access for all group members into their room rate.

    What if we gave first option to 90 Minds full members then if space remained we opened it to OASIS.

    I will some the leg work here in on San Diego hotels and meeting room(s). Do we have a number to shoot for? Remember we had 18 at the last one.

    I do not think we should accept straggler vendors this time. In my mind I thought we were going to have a short presentation from each and they all launched into their standard 60 minute pitch. If we're going to have vendors it's going to be for pre-arranged time slots and $$. I think Altec sprang for enough last time that I'd be willing to have them back without questioning their fee but from what I hear BizNet was a bit ungrateful in public about our generosity.

    Let's set a goal for # of attendees (how's 30 sound - combined) Sponsors - two Key topics And before this message goes all over the place can we put it into a Google Doc that everyone can edit. This Socialcast is not great for long term planning of stuff.

    30 is at the top end. Logistically, that is a lot of work to herd cats. And would 30 people fit in Jim's house? I'd like to see the top end at 25.

    @JimWoodhead has had some discussions with the hotel where most of us stayed. It becomes very expensive - may almost be cheaper to rent a bus / shuttle for morning or afternoons and stay on with DSD who has plenty of room for 30 (we could use their conference room for breakout sessions).     If we can use the DSD conference center, that works for me. I thought it worked quite well last year. Embassy Suites drove us back and forth without charge. Can we use it on Sunday for the certifcation testing? Let's get the dates/locations agreed upon now for planning purposes. We can hammer out the agenda details by November. In December, we can start accepting conference fees if the budget is in need. If we don't get enough Senior members committed by mid December, then we could open it for OASIS on a first come basis.

    If we use the DSD room, the limit is really 20. I can't do Feb 2nd (son's birthday) or Feb 9th (Father/Daughter Dance) and if they change my daughter's dance again this year, I'll have to take someone out.

    BTW shes says that they have special incentives .. her message to me... Thank you for your patience while I worked on different options for your group in February 2013. If you are available I am hoping that you and I could meet sometime this week to look over options. We just rolled out a booking incentive for fourth and first quarter and I know the incentives would be helpful for this booking. . we will see.....

    I'd like to say yes to Irvine - but I don't know what the value would be? Do you think this helps the group build credibility with Sage? The issue with a Thursday trip is that us East coasters would probably fly in on Wed or have to leave almost right from the airport? What's everyone think? We might also be able to have Sage come to us.

    I think it is important to set the main event days ASAP so that we can get an attendance estimate. Between now and early December, we can decide on the Irvine excursion.
