  • 1.  2026 Sage Consultant Renewal Fee

    I was just in the process of renewing the 2026 Consultant fee and was surprised about the change. Unless I am missing something, Sage is now transitioned from having a single renewal fee for "Certified Consultant program" per product like Sage 100, Sage CRM, Sage FAS, etc. to a renewal fee per certification.

    If I have:

    1. Sage 100 Certified Application Consultant
    2. Sage 100 Certified Technical Consultant
    3. Sage 100 Certified Payroll Consultant 

    all under one consultant that the renewal is $350 x 3 whereas in the past it was only $350.
    Is this what everyone else is seeing? This is more than doubling my annual cost to renew my consultants.

    Did I totally miss this announcement of a change?

    Yes – that's what I have as well - Individual Fees.   I show that last year's fees were $520 (discounted) per person, not per certification.  And that's in addition to the individual reseller fees for  Sage 100. Sage CRM, Sage FAS, etc.  The money to fund Sage has to come from somewhere – and apparently it is from their resellers.  Dang it.

    That is crazy. I had all my staff have both Technical and application at a minimum. I will just let the technical go. Those that have Payroll, or other specialty, will keep those. Then let Application and Technical go. I think you have to have payroll to get any support for Payroll. I don't think you have to have the other two, to get the specialty Certification.

    You would think they want to encourage training and not create a barrier to it.

    I didn't spot this initially since I pay through DSD. IMO, this is a fee increase pure and simple.
