So I got the impression that Aatrix had gotten a waiver for individual 1099s last year re breaking the first and last name into separate fields but that it would be required for 2024 1099s.

It looks like only 2023 and 2024 will have this ability natively on the Additional tab in Sage (unless a 2022 fix is still coming).  May be something for clients to think about when scheduling an upgrade - I have someone who wanted to put off his 2024 upgrade until Jan, but we may pull that earlier, as they have a LOT of 1099s.  (Yes, you can manually do it in the Aatrix screen, but who wants to do that?)

I occasionally use the Aatrix Excel template to process 1099s.  Make sure you choose "other" for accounting software NOT Sage.  You can export the data from Sage to Excel and then upload it on the Aatrix web site to process 1099s.  It's easy.

Sage supports N-2 yet they only issue N-1 product updates. I hope this group collectively does not let Sage pull a fast one.
