Be aware that a few more programs were modified with 2020.6 than just for OAuth so verify with the vendor/vendors if the client has any modifications to ensure they are compatible.  There are a handful of DSD enhancements including some of the multi-currency parts that are affected and will be released soon to be compatible with 2020.6.

Also, please note that Microsoft has a blog post which appears to indicate that the OAuth requirement can be extended through 12/31/2022 although it appears that the customer must take a few steps in order to extend their use of basic authentication.

Probably has to do with the wksetup reinstall requirement.

Yes, they mentioned that in the call last week... added workstation pre-req's (including a .NET?), so we should be prepared for Windows admin permissions being required.

and as a side note, Scanco has told us "At this time Scanco does not have an ETA for 2020 PU6".  Speaking with an installer on some other topics, he felt they were "not planning" to release a compatible JobOps (Operations Management Version) for OAuth on v2020.

We received a similar message from Scanco when we asked Scanco about 2020.6.  I reached out to Linda Cade to get her opinion on whether or not we should try installing PU6 for any customers using PM and OM.  She told me that this PU impacts more system files and requires a workstation update, as noted by @Shari Eckersley above, but there is a possibility that it may work without any issues.  She strongly encouraged a lot of testing, and we certainly agree that a pilot/test environment would be required if we decided to try this.  My guess is that something in this PU is going to break something as far as third-party enhancements are concerned especially if they have any interaction with paperless office and these email settings.

    Update from Jon at DSD:

Sage released "pre-release source code" to us last Friday, and below is a list of enhancements that are affected by 2020 (6.20) PU6. Sage also told me that they will release the "final source code" to us mid-September (but they're trying for sooner; today maybe).  Once I get that final source, I will release these products below, at v6.20 PU6, within 48 hours of Sage's release to us. All other 2020 DSD Enhancements are compatible, and you will just need to reinstall the ones from our website after you install the PU6.
