  • 1.  2020 AR Customer Screens

    Anyone having random screen definition errors in Sage 100 v2020.  Error in definition of screen item.  PINVOICE 2303 (for example)  Name GD_Totals  I have two customers with this issue and it's really random, one day it'll error, the next it won't.

    Nothing special. I did resize, worked for a couple days.  Nothing to reset.  It's odd to say the least.

    We had a problem with intermittent crashes in Shipping Entry... traced to a custom button previously added to the bottom of DMain, which became displaced after Sage expanded the panel size.  Whenever the user clicked below the previous former panel size the program crashed.  Moving the button fixed it.
    If you have any enhancements / customizations which modify the panel, check all object placements.

    Does it also say "Error 29"?  I bet you have a control (multi-line, button, etc) that is defined on PInvoice panel but is sized / placed in such a way that it exceeds the PInvoice boundary. Usually these are UDFs or MD fields. In your case the control might be the GD_TOTALS grid itself which shows the Balance, 30 days, 60 days, etc. What you could do is open Customer Maint with Customizer then look at GD_TOTALS at the bottom then right click on it and choose Options. Look at the Col, Row, Width, Height. E.g. Your error occurs if Height is set so large it exceeds height of the whole PInvoice panel. Suggest you just compare your screen on v2020 to theirs.
