  • 1.  2019 to 2022.2 upgrade with PR, no mods -

    Having an issue with an upgrade for a client who is, of course, a Payroll processing company.
    Everything looked great after the upgrade EXCEPT trying to get into the Payroll Data Entry screen.  All other PR is OK.
    First you get "Module P/M is not on file"
    then you get "PR_PAYROLL_UI" with OK as your only option.
    As I said - ever other screen, etc in payroll (and elsewhere) appears to be working.
    Sage indicated issue with going to 2022 without .2, but I installed .2.  But I reinstalled anyway, then reinstalled payroll, then all of the fixes, and still the same thing.

    Have put them back on their 2019 momentarily, and since I swapped installed folder names to keep some scripts working, I won't be able to try anything immediately, but any suggestions will be gratefully applied tonight.

    Did you make sure you have a PR_Payroll_UI.pvc file in the MAS90\PR directory on the Sage 100 server?  If it is missing, I would start investigating why it is missing and make sure there aren't any other files missing.

    I usually first login to windows as administrator and verify the antivirus has the exclusions. if it works with administrator and on the server....it is security issue

    This is a cloud install, so we're all on the server, and it's happening everywhere.

    Maybe Payroll Options thinks there is an integration to PM.  Is there a checkbox field for PM in PR_Options?

    My guess is that the P/M error is the new "J/C is not on file"... basically what Sage shows as a generic ?!? error when it doesn't know what to say.

    KB 86083 is similar but for PR not PM.  It says to conform all batches have been updated then reintialize GL_CompanyActiveBatch.m4t.

    Some other similar "Module X/X is not on file" KBs indisating data corruption and rebuild files.

    This has been resolved and can be moved from Urgent.  The installation was missing the PR_CostCodeUI_val.pvc file under the MAS90\PR directory.  In the process of comparing the files under the PR directory between this install and another known good install to see if any other program files are missing.
