  • 1.  2019 Advanced Posting issue

    I just upgraded a client from Sage 100 2016 standard to Sage 100 2019 Advanced.  We had tested 2019 Standard and decided last minute to go to advanced.  We are getting hanging posting.  We were having the paperless error -40 or -41.  We cleared that up.  Now they will get the system stopping responding when prompting to print the register (SO and AP) have both had issues today.  The Master Console is showing a process in the Daily Transaction Register.  Any thoughts on the cause and fix.  Is there a setting I should consider?  Spawn Tasks?  

    I did convert them to standard 2019 and then converted to advanced 2019 from standard 2019.  This is the one "different" thing that I did.

    I had the same issues with a similar upgrade a few weeks back. Something with the Sage100 PDF Converter from 2016 to 2019. Ended up doing PL_ADVANCEDOPTIONS_UI on almost every workstation. ran the utility and removed the driver, went to windows and removed any device that said Sage100 PDF Converter,  ran the utility again and reinstalled the driver. That seemed to fix it. Definitely Spawn Tasks as well. Is it running as a service or application?

    I am running as a service.  The issue is intermittent.  We had to deal with the security on the Sage 100 PDF Converter and Registry Change as well.  I did not do the workstation setups (IT did).  Spawn Task on or off?

    I always turn Spawn tasks on but I don't know if that will help in this case. you can try it both ways. It doesn't hurt to turn it on.

    Here is another piece of information...  They are saying they are posting the invoice register.  The Daily Transaction Register prompt appears and then disappears. The new security settings are turned off for automatically posting the DTR

    Do users have more than one Role?  If it's turned on in even one of their Roles, it will be active for them.
