  • 1.  2018 Advanced - User logs in then can only see Sage 100 icon

    User logs into Sage 100 Advanced 2018 and the only thing they see is their minimized icon on the desktop.
    Aside from the (approximate) 8 zillion ways to clear the workstations in advanced - I seem to recall that there was a fix discussed here recently. 1 had to do with multiple monitors.
    I've tried to search to the limit of my patience today and I'm doing great at finding 2011 archived posts but nothing that seems relevant.

    Does anyone recall what the fix is? I don't believe it's the rename of all the server files because other people can log in and out just fine. Seems to just be this user session.


    They are using a remote desktop session

    Alt - Spacebar - M... then arrow keys.

    Thanks, will give that a shot. The customer can log in with the same user on different pc so suspect it's something environmental.

    Turned out to be that the user somehow had their screen resolution very low. Once turned to a higher resolution this issue went away.

    Hey @Kevin Moyes I just had a customer on v2018 with the same issue. He is working from home​ and doesn't have two monitors like at the office. After trying several things, I found this post and had him use Alt - spacebar, M and he was able to move it!! ​

    Alt-spacebar just opens the old top-left-corner Windows menu.
    "M" selects the Move command, then the arrow keys snap it into a visible spot on screen.
