2017.1 advanced - Custom office. I want to add some UDFs to the bottom of the Customer Maintenance, main tab. When you look at the screen there is a space below the email and URL addresses at the bottom. When you go into Custom Office edit mode the space isn't there anymore. Is there a way to add fields to the bottom of the screen? A related question: If you maximize the customer maintenance screen there is a LOT of extra space. Can this space be used to add UDFs?

You won't be able to add UDF's to the space that shows up when you maximize. The space you see at the below the URL field is on the panel DMAIN. you can use that space but make sure you are not too close to any edge of DMAIN or you will get error 65 or error 29 when you open the screen.

You can make the particular panel larger, which then will require you make the DMAIN larger. You get tho this by clicking Panel at the top left of the small Customizer menu screen.

I have a customer that wanted 6 UDFs so I added a 9th tab so I would have enough real estate.

@JaneCavanaugh We have an extra tab with several UDFs. The customer wants the UDFs moved to the main tab to facilitate efficient data entry.

Well of course! Sometimes easy for the customer isn't easy for us. But I shouldn't complain - keeps the paychecks coming.

They will probably want the UDFs moved back to a tab next month.

I have added tabs and I have also made the panel wider and added the UDF's along the right side. biggest PITA is getting the error messages...

I've also put a new panel behind a button on the main screen when real estate is at a premium.

Sometimes I add a button to get more space on a specific tab, then add the fields to it.
