2017 standard. customer printed all of the W2s then later discovered they needed to eFile the W2s with the state of IL for the first year ever. We did a ""start over"" and eFiled the state W2s. Now, a couple of employees didn't receive the W2s in the mail. Now, when we select W2 History to reprint, all of the selections are grayed out except for the State W2. How can I re-print some W2s without screwing anything up? Can I do another ""start over"" without fear of Aatrix re-transmitting something to the state of IL?

Select W-2 History in eFiling & Reporting. You should see 2 data sets for 2017. Choose the older of the 2, and you should be able to reprint.

Tip - This won't help in this case, but print the employee copy twice and skip printing the employer's copy. Easier to make a copy than reprint. If you start over, you may need to delete the eFile folding in PRXXX. At least rename it.

Can you send the employees a copy of the printed version made before you efiled?

Thanks everyone. I had made a backup ""payroll"" company after the W2s were printed and before they had to do a ""start over"" to submit the W2s electronically to the state. As @MyronStevenson suggested, I renamed the PRN17\eFilingReporting. They then re-printed the W2s again. I learn something new every day in this group!
