    2016 Advanced. Sage Intelligence License Registration. The licensing process wants a Sage account number and a serial number. What is the format of the serial number? I looked on the Sage web site and for this account there is an unlocking key for Sage Intelligence but there is not a serial number listed. I see for another one of my customers there is a serial number listed that begins with a lower case ""v"". Do all versions of Sage Intelligence have a serial number that begins with a lower case v? Will the unlocking key work or is the Sage web site missing the SI serial number for this customer?

    Some registrations use the old Sage Account Number and then the vSage Account. Newer purchases use the new Sage Account Number and the xxx-xxx-xxx format unlocking code. So if you are seeing the 5-5-5 (or whatever it is), then use the New Account number on the Portal. If not sure, you can email: salesadvisor@sage.com, give them the new Sage Account number and ask for the keys.

    All of my Sage Intelligence clients start out with the v. I try the new account number 1st and if that doesn't work I try the old account number. The serial # will also end in something like _G9WCLIG

    Thank you Nancy and Michele. There were no serial numbers or unlocking keys on the Sage web site so I asked Sage and they emailed me an ""unlocking key"" in the format XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX_1. I haven't tried it yet because I have to remote to a user's computer and I would like to have some confidence it is going to work this time. I am going to try this with the new account number. What is confusing is the number they gave me is labeled as an unlocking key on the Sage web site, and the SI license field is labeled Serial Number"". The serial number is blank on the Sage web site. This should be easy not a two hour circus.

    Yes it should be an easy task! In this case, you will want to use the new account number as you indicated. Good luck.

    Keep the salesadvisor@sage.com email. They generally respond pretty quick when the keys are not on the portal. Easier than trying to call them.

    Very confusing (too much so) and sales advisor are sometimes addled as well. I have encountered this in past. Use whatever information they send you.
