2016 advanced. One user keeps getting Sage Exchange Desktop - New Version Available message. They don't use credit cards. There is nothing to uninstall in Programs and Features, yet Sage Exchange is running in the Task Manager. How is this program loading? I don't see a service and there is nothing in the startup tab of Task Manager. How do I stop this crazy program from loading?

That's strange that it's not showing in Add/Remove Programs.

Yes. I removed it using add / remove programs six weeks or so ago, and the message keeps re-appearing. The properties of the program running in task manager display a folder that contains the exe (and many other files). There are several folders that look similar and all seem to be related to Sage Exchange. I am hesitant to start deleting files and folders fearing I could trash the registry.

I think SE (not 2.0) was loaded and ""installed"" to the user profile, so look there. If you change your Task Manager settings to display the Command Line, you may even be pointed to the exact file location.

I can't swear to it, but it seems to me that if the AR module is activated, it ""wants"" SED, regardless of whether or not CC info is stored in Sage 100.

I'm with Barbara. In order to click on the CC button I think SED has to be installed and in some cases it seems to do so behind-the-scenes.

They don't enter any credit cards. Also, they have 20 other workstations that don't have SE. It seems that only the one workstation has SE installed.

@KevinMoyes You are correct. I logged an with the users credentials and SE was available for uninstall. I thought I was being proactive logging on as the local administrator. It would be a nice feature if the local administrator could see all of the installed programs on the Programs and Features screen.
