Sage 100

2013 941 FORMS MISALIGNED Installed the 941 updates on two systems today. The first install went fine. The second MAS 90 Ver 4.4 on a stand-alone computer, all the fields are very misaligned vertically-printing a good 1/8"" below and out of the boxes. Horizontal alignment is fine. Did i do something wrong?

I don't think so - the instructions say this may happen.

Harold, did you rename the PR941A.rpt and PRSCHB.rpt in the Reports folder and also the company reports folder,and the company reports folder, Reports/###-ABC ?

We had that problem on one today, I think. The other one worked fine.

And this is for the pre-printed forms -- right?

Yes renamed all the files. Robert was there a fix? Wayne this is for the entire form

OMG, it looks like crap!!!!! It is acting like I want to print to preprinted so it is printing the Crystal template with the pre-printed numbers............

I noticed on the very bottom of the what's new that they talk about alignment problems. Sounds to me like they could not get the form working in every situation so they released it anyway.

Please update us if you find the solution other than nudging stuff

It ISN'T an alignment problem. The form is screwed up. See the attached.

I just loaded the form on 4.4.08, renamed the forms as mentioned and the form prints fine. Tested it with 4.5 after I installed PU #6 same results printed fine.

I just tested with 4.30.0.23 and it's fine.

Works fine on 4.40.0.10.

I just installed on my v4.5.6 MAS 90 version and still get the same freakin issue.

So what's the pattern? Were the ones that worked all MAS 200?

My MAS 200 v4.5.6 does not work. My 90 v4.5.6 does not work. It is like the report format does not completely work with the entire form option.

Some days I love being a MAS90 consultant.....

Imagine how bored we'd all be if the shit actually worked...

Just installed on client v4.4.10 MAS 90. Works..... Installed on client v4.5.5 MAS 90 Works. Installed on client v4.4.10 200 Works... 4th client good to go this morning 5th client v4.5.6 - Looking good...... 6th client v4.5.5 - Failed to Launch

I've only been previewing the forms since I installed remotely. Is the misalignment only visible from the hard copy ?

I am not seeing any abnormal comonalities between my systems and the five clients that do work.

I installed on v4.4.4, v4.4.10 and v4.5.6 and all were fine for me.

So what is it that's different between those that work and those that don't??? OS's? Printers? USERS??? (Ha ha!!)

I was thinking it might be printer related but haven't had a chance to look at it. We downloaded the form from the customer site and it printed fine on our systems. Or at least that's what I was told.

Just failed at client with v4.5.5. Interesting thought on printer. Will try switching.

Does the form come with the ""no printer"" box checked?

What I read is to make sure 2012 IRD and 2013 Q1 TTU is installed, which is installed on my 4.4.08. Also if you have 4.5 with SU 6 then just install the 941 Update. On both of these for me they worked fine. I have yet to do any installs on a client. Next week starts the fun I guess.

So I was told to get the latest release of the 2012 IRD and install that."" So does this mean it appears that this alignment issue has to do with which version of the 2012 IRD is installed?

@BrettZimmerman with the ones that worked for me I did have the second update 2012 IRD installed.

What is the date/timestamp/size of the second IRD in question? I just redownloaded the IRD and it matches what I have.

There's the problem - there's no good/easy way to tell what prior IRD you have installed.

Has anyone else tried the following resolution from the original poster on that Forum posting?: The fix for this lies in the Windows 7 display settings. Change them to SMALLER (Default) and the form will work: Right click desktop Select personalize Click on display in lower left Select Smaller 100% (default) Click apply Restart the computer

USER issue?????? I can buy the display being attributable to font size, but printing???? Call me skeptical but willing to try it......

I think this is the one. Found both of my files and the mod date is 12.31.12. Prior one was 12.17.12.

Ok, maybe size DOES matter. When looking at the form on my WIN 7 workstation has icons set for the blind (oversized), It is out of alignment. When looking at the report preview from my win 2003 server console (font is normal), preview is fine. In the process of installing Kelly's revised IRD. Will post back.

LOL! Just got this from a customer: ""941 PRINTING is off lines are all messed up"" and I know how he has his display set!!!!

OMG, it DOES MATTER!!!!!!!! I reset my font size to 100% (aka DINKY) and the dang form previews and prints correctly. Unfortunately, my nose is about a foot away from the screen as I type because I can't see the fonts but why should SAGE CARE about that!!!!! Lucky for me, I have an optometrist appointment in 45 minutes so I can get stronger contacts..... WTF!!!!!!! Mystery solved. Harold, time to make a visit to your eye doctor!!!!!!

Connected to my customer and changed his display settings and after logging off then back on, we go into MAS. ""Why is it so teeny??"" is his response. Fortunately, his 941 now prints correctly!!! Who ever said size doesn't matter????

Oh this one about all the rebranding and restructuring.....

Bug has been patched. Update available on web site. Not sure if original 941 update has been modified or if you have to install TWO updates now. Also, not sure if the patch is a generic for all four versions or if you have to install a version specific patch or not. Their response raises as many questions as it resolves....

The 941 Form for 2013 is not aligning correctly when Sage 100 Workstation's display settings are not set to 100% (default). RESOLUTION The following will correct the issue. PROGRAMVERSION PR941A.rpt N/A PRSCHB.rptN/A This Program Fix can be downloaded from our web site (http://na.sage.com/log-on/) after registering for and logging into the Sage Customer or Partner Portal. NOTES: Using Windows Explorer, browse to ..\MAS90\Reports\ Rename the following files in the ..\###-###\ and ..\###-xxx\ folders (where xxx = company code): PR941A.rpt PRSCHB.rpt Install the Sage 100 ERP 2013 Program Fix PR5002T.exe from the Sage 100 ERP 2013 Server.

And what the hell is up with Sage posting the descriptions of the problem in Microsoft Word files which require you to download a separate program (MS Office) to view via the web. Is there the slightest hope that Sage will get their ""mobile strategy"" right???? Answer: Nope.

Here are the patches for v4.3 - v4.5 and v2013 PU2. Even the instructions included here are sloppy. They include two new 941 forms and some hotfix documentation files. The install instructions only reference the Crystal reports, not a peep regarding the hotfix documentation....... If you only have v2013 PU1, there is another hotfix for that. not quite sure why.... Installed and tested with v4.5. A true WAD release......

Sloppy is an understatement @JeffSchwenk . You can tell their entire Education Dept. up and left. The whole place is just a mess!!
