2012 Form 941 will not install on MAS 4.20 System, but per the Sage Support Policy (Jan 2011) Tax Table Updates and Quarterly Year End End updates are supported throught 09/30/2012. I have a call into Sage regarding they need supply a MAS 4.20 941 update. Meanwhile Sage's solution is to go to the IRS website, plug in the numbers on the IRS web form, and print the form out (or upgrade). I did copy the pr941a.rpt and pr941p.rpt to the Reports folder and it works and 'looks' OK, but not sure yet. In order to accomade the changes there may have been program changes or ddict changes I am unaware of.

Product updates say no -- I wonder if Sage will say technically the 4.2 folks aren't entitled? Definitely keep us posted - as well as any workarounds.

Update: Sage Called back. The 2012 941 Form will not be supported. The Sage Portal has an old Support Policy dated January 2011 which indicates support through 9/2012, but the policy is superceded by an October 2011 Support Policy which ended P/R Updates & TTU 12/30/2011. Sage's workaround is to use the irs.gov Form 941. Alternatives are to install a 4.30-4.50 version with current PU, install Aatrix and/or current Form 941 update, and print the form in MAS or from Aatrix. The only 4 files I found updated by the Form 941 install were pr941a.rpt, pr941p.rpt, prwrtc and prwrta.lib. I copied those files to the \PR and \Reports\###-ccc folders and they seem to work OK on 4.20 (no errors and data appeard to print correctly). Attached is current October 2011 Sage Support Policy.

I had this come up today...so you installed the 2012 941 updates on 4.2? Do I use a current 4.2 product update?

Sage will not support 2012 941 on MAS 4.20. I installed the 941 Form update on my 4.30 system, and copied the pr941a.rpt and pr941p.rpt to the \Reports\###-ccc folder and prwrtc and prwrta.lib to the \PR folder. Those are the only four files I can verify were changed (don't know about any system files).

Just installed the 941 patch on a v4.4.7 system with JobOps. Received the attached post installation failure message. Forms installed. MAS is functioning. Just not sure what the message actually indicates went astray.

That PDF is like the EULA that says you can't return opened software, but you don't see the EULA anywhere until you are installing it.
