Our original submission to Sage for # 16 and #14 respectively
Add a default option for 'Item Pricing' to Inventory Setup Options. Allows for which option should default when creating new pricing.

Add a session level 'Default' button (similar to Sales Order Entry) to areas such as I/M Pricing Maintenance, I/M Alias Maintenance, etc.

#16 - Add a default option for 'Item Pricing' to Inventory Setup Options. Allows for which option should default when creating new pricing.
    What should this default?
Pricing Option  Item Pricing or Customer Price Schedule
Price Level (if Item Pricing) or Customer No (if Customer Price Schedule) –
Pricing Method  Cost Markup Amount, Cost Markup %, Price Discount Amount, Price Discount %, Price Override

A/R Customer Pricing Maintenance also has Pricing Method with the same values. If we set an option for that should it apply here also?

I/M Price Code Maintenance (Setup Menu) has pricing method but does not have Price Override so if we were defaulting Pricing Method I don't think we can do that here.

If option #14 is done we would have to set any session defaults initially to the values in I/M options. Any session defaults that are set would override I/M Options defaults.

My thoughts to have I/M option defaults for Pricing Option and Pricing Method. Default value in I/M options being Item Pricing and Price Discount Amount(the default for both I/M Item Pricing and A/R Customer Item Pricing)

So I agree with the options for IM Options, but would want the Price Level or Customer Number as a SESSION option.

I agree that there should be two defaults here:

Pricing Option  (Item Pricing/Customer Price Schedule) - should default to Item Pricing which is how the programs work now.
This would change the behavior in Item Pricing Maintenance within Item Maintenance.

Pricing Method (the 5) - Default to Price Discount Amount (which is how the programs work now)
This would change the behavior in Item Pricing Maintenance within Item Maintenance and the Pricing button in Customer Maintenance for Customer Pricing Maintenance.

I/M price code maintenance could also default pricing method if it was anything other than price override, in which case the existing default could remain.

#16:  Item Pricing.  Originally, I thought we were just discussing the Default Pricing Method (Cost Markup Amount, Cost Markup %, Price Discount Amount, Price Discount % and Price Override.  I think this default should be a Default Setup Option.
