Ok. Here's what I don't understand. Sage can charge crazy fees for business care renewals, yet when I quote half that amount to do an upgrade every two or three years, there's a big pushback.

It had been implied all along that perpetual maintenance would increase more than subscription, and that is evident in these increases (15% vs <=10%). Note that after 3/31 upgrading from 100 to 100c will be no more that 15% more than current maintenance, so customers really should try to get on 100c while they can prior to 3/31.

Stay on 100, stop paying maintenance, put the money in a separate account towards another product in 4-5 years

Based on our client base, it is rare for any of them to stop paying maintenance. It may make financial sense to do what you suggest @PhilMcIntosh but it isn't happening - even with the ones that pay $15,000 - $30,000 annually.
